Al-Qarafa is currently caught between two conflicting narratives: one that seeks to preserve its rich tangible and intangible heritage, and another driven by rapid urban development. This double exposure project, created using film photography, reflects the tension between these two visions for the future of the cemetery and its surrounding community.
