In this projection mapping project, I experimented with light and hand-drawn portraits of people from Historic Cairo, combining them with patterns from the Patterns of Cairo archive. Some patterns, like the Aslam al-Silahdar medallion, were chosen for their rich visual stories and historical significance. The installation took place at al-Khalifa Garden, where children from the neighborhood actively interacted with the lights, bringing the projections to life in a playful and engaging way.
