The visitors’ centre offers an engaging experience starting in the activity room, featuring interactive games and puzzles designed for children. Activities include a biographic board game, 3D puzzles of the Fatimid dome and boat finial, pottery reconstruction exercises, stucco mould replication, and stories about the dome. A sealed doorway to the Radwan Agha al-Razzaz Tomb is displayed on one wall.

Calligraphed verses from al-Shafi’i’s poetry guide visitors upstairs, where preservation efforts are introduced, followed by a film on conservation work. The excavations hall showcases a model of an earlier Fatimid dome and artifacts, while the finds hall displays hidden inscriptions and layers uncovered during conservation. The visit ends with a mural highlighting key southern cemetery buildings for further exploration.

My work focused primarily on designing the exhibit displays, especially the excavation room and the Fatimid dome maquette.
